About:
Katarzyna
Biernacka holds a Diploma degree in Computer Science from the Humboldt-Universität
zu Berlin. Before she joined the HEADT Centre she worked at the Computer and
Media Service of the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and was the project
coordinator and research assistant of FDMentor. As an advocate of Open Science,
Katarzyna offers various workshops on this and related topics and is socially
committed to teaching digital competencies at the ReDI School of Digital Integration.
Fields of Interest:
Katarzyna’s
strong interest in digital tools and new forms of learning has shaped her
research interest. In her PhD studies she investigates the potential conflict
between open research data and the issues of privacy, taking into account both
differences between disciplines and between cultural perspectives.
